Compared to other cosmetic treatments aimed at targeting stubborn fat pockets, Kybella® has many advantages. Beyond being minimally invasive, it’s fast and easy. Tiny injections will be placed in the treatment area, breaking down the fat cells before they are absorbed by your body. Additionally, many patients can expect their results to be permanent. With virtually little to no downtime at all after receiving treatment, you may return to and resume your everyday activities immediately. Please discuss any existing medical conditions (such as bleeding problems) and planned procedures on your neck, face or chin prior to receiving any injections.
A typical Kybella® treatment session generally lasts 15-30 minutes. Most of the time is used to take progress pictures and review after-care instructions. You will receive multiple small injections marked inside your treatment area, though the exact amount will depend on the amount of fat and where the treatment area is located. Although there may be some minor and temporary effects, this lasts for a short time and eventually dissipates. These include:
