DAXXIFY™ is one of several products called neurotoxins or neuromodulators. The term “neuromodulator” is actually a more accurate term to use because the active ingredient, botulinum toxin type A, is not toxic in the quantities used during these treatments. While BOTOX® typically lasts for 4-5 months, DAXXIFY™ uses a different formula that averages 6-9 months.

What is DAXXIFY™?
Unlike BOTOX® the botulinum toxin in DAXXIFY™ is combined with a small lab-made protein called a peptide. These peptides help DAXXIFY™ bind to the targeted facial nerves more tightly than other neuromodulators for longer-lasting results. When it binds to the nerves, it stops them from sending signals to your facial muscles. This can be used to target facial nerves that cause deep expression lines and wrinkles. When these muscles are relaxed, your frown lines and forehead creases will begin to smooth and fade.

How Does DAXXIFY™ Work?
DAXXIFY™ is the first injectable neurotoxin formulated using a novel peptide as a stabilizer, meaning it does not contain human or animal products. Instead, it uses a novel peptide as a stabilizer. This makes it a great option for vegans or patients looking for plant-based alternatives to traditional BOTOX®-type injectables. DAXXIFY™ works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to treated muscles. Patients can conveniently schedule their treatment session into their lunch break, as DAXXIFY™ appointments typically take less than 20 minutes. This makes it one of the most popular “lunchtime procedures” of our patients.
During your consultation, your SKIN FIVE provider will discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you. After assessing your treatment area and other areas of concern, we will create a personalized treatment plan with the appropriate dosage and injection sites for optimal results. You can even resume normal activities immediately after your procedure. Maintenance treatments can be scheduled in advance to maintain your results.
