HOW DOES BOTOX® WORK?
BOTOX® is an injectable made with botulinum toxin. While this toxin can be harmful in large quantities, it has many beneficial applications when used in controlled, diluted amounts. BOTOX® works primarily by blocking nerve signals to the muscles where it is injected, preventing the nerve endings from contracting. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR SESSION
Patients can conveniently schedule their treatment session into their lunch break, as BOTOX® typically takes less than 20 minutes to perform, making it a great “lunchtime procedure.” Your SKIN FIVE specialist will discuss your concerns and desired results with you during your session. You can even resume normal activities immediately after your procedure.
During your consultation, your SKIN FIVE provider will discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you. After assessing your treatment area and other areas of concern, we will create a personalized treatment plan with the appropriate dosage and injection sites for optimal results.
The effects of BOTOX® are not immediate and may take a few days to become more visible. While the effects of BOTOX® are temporary, they typically last for anywhere from 3-6 months (or more!) depending on the treatment area, leaving you with long-lasting results. Maintenance treatments can be scheduled in advance to maintain your results.
